So I know you are wondering where is the Epic Naruto 322 review…. Well I am travelling to St. Maarten for the annual Video X Games 2013. Right now with my HTKU brothers ready for battle. I want to take this time to send a special thank you to Bob McKay from Fresh Mango and Sean Augustine from Lime. I remember the thought of coming to VXG 2013 would of been a huge under taking. I already made up my mind to go with the rest of the gamers in the British Virgin Islands. Then after speaking to Bob McKay from Fresh Mango inspired me to keep pushing for sponsorship. Bob made me realize that as a gamer I can show my talent on a professional level. Then my friend Glen had a problem with his internet line and we as gamers took the complaint on facebook. Then something happened. Something amazing. The head manager for Lime saw our distress and decided to help us. Then a great relationship was born. Lime started to listen to us the gamers about our internet speed. Then I told them about the trip we planned for the VXG 2013 and they decided to help us.

Here we are at St. Maarten Airport..

The trip to St. Maarten was quick and painless. Liat was late as usual but there was a man who seem to hate soap and water. Had the place so rank the stewardess had to spray air freshener. Seriously.

At the Sonesta Maho Resort Hotel. Very nice place to stay.

Lime Teams Up With Carib Gamer for VXG 2013

Gaming Partnership! Mr. Kareem Nelson Hull, LIME’s Head of Department for Marketing and Corporate Communications, British Virgin Islands and Turks and Caicos Islands (left) and Russell Jones Jr. President of Carib Gamer. .

The Virgin Islands gaming community is very excited about the upcoming Video X Game Festival which takes place in St. Maarten next week.
A team of 11 drawn from the local Carib Gamer group will represent the Virgin Islands against other gamers from around the Caribbean, Europe and the United States.
The team includes experienced gamers Rohan Belsujet, Knal Thomas, Clark Baptist, Cardiff Wheatley, Glenn Cherubim, Cardiff Wheatley, Kevon Findley, Timothy Emmanuel and President of Carib Gamer, Russell Jones.
LIME has connected with Carib Gamer to sponsor the team’s participation at the event, which takes place from July 25th to the 28th. The event will see a number of entertainment activities with headline performance from Jah Cure.
LIME’s BVI General Manager, Mr. Sean Auguste stated that the partnership between LIME and Carib Gamer began simply when the gamers needed more internet speed for their gaming functions.
“LIME stepped up into the game, so to speak, and delivered what they needed. This talented group of young men are able to transfer their passion for gaming into a competitive action and in turn will allow the BVI to be represented in an arena that was little heard of years ago,” Mr. Auguste explained.

He added, “Many may judge the actions of these men who play games, but as a company we are here to provide whatever services our customers need and that’s what we have done and will continue to do. The fact that we are able to support the Virgin Islands community in this way shows our commitment to your goals and proves that we are the best for the fastest internet connection from Horse Shoe Reef to Sopher’s Hole.”

A whopping $50,000 in cash prizes are up for grabs and the winners will gain automatic qualification to compete in the nationals in the United States.

“Gaming has really taken off internationally and we do have pro-gamers in the Territory, some of whom will be attending the upcoming tournament,” Jones told BVI Platinum News.
He stated that Carib Gamer has always been committed to bringing fun entertainment to the community and has also donated their services to schools, providing a safe and exciting avenue for all.

While there might be questions about the importance of gaming, Jones and Carib Gamer believes that video gaming is an industry filled with career opportunities for IT technicians, research and development, analysts, designers and producers.

Carib Gamer is on a mission to bring the Caribbean community of gamers together and has held activities, including tournaments locally to stimulate interest in the industry.

So we will make sure to bring home the cash prize and the trophy!! Thank you Lime and Fresh Mango for your support!!!
